Strength does not equal depth

We are frequently asked if the laser is "strong" enough to penetrate deeply into the areas.

To answer this, it is important to know that the penetration depth of laser light is independent of the strength and intensity, but only dependent of its wavelength.

It is important to reach the physiological response threshold so the application of the laser is noticeable for the body. For this, a low power of the laser is completely sufficient.

Our CEPES-Laser® has a power of ≤ 1 mW.

The CEPES-Laser® works with red light with a wavelength of 650 nm. Red laser light has a penetration depth of approx. 2 cm / 0.8 inches. The simultaneously emitted pulsating magnetic field even has a physiological range of 30 cm / 11.8 inches.

The substrate transfer is mainly done via the magnetic field (light transmits only a small part of the information). Thus there is a large penetration depth for the transmitted information due to the electromagnetic field.
